A young mum has died mysteriously two days after Christmas.
Silhesha Sunderland was found dead at her home in Lancashire, northwest England, by her boyfriend Marc Stott, who tried desperately to resuscitate her, according to The Sun.
The cause of the 22-year-old’s death has yet to be revealed, with Mr Stott, 27, and her family being completely blindsided by their sudden loss.
Tributes have flooded social media for the young woman, who was described as “brilliant” and “one-of-a-kind”.
Her mum Vicky told The Sun her daughter appeared to be “so happy” and had been enjoying decorating the home she had recently moved into.
“We don’t know how she died yet and we are just waiting on the coroner's report. Her boyfriend found her in the middle of the night and tried to resuscitate her,” the mum explained.
“She was just so happy. She has twins who are two-and-a-half-years-old, Hugo and Aliyah, and she was a brilliant mother to them. She spoilt them rotten and she was such a kind-hearted girl.”
Mr Stott told Manchester Evening News he planned to propose to Ms Sunderland in the near future.
“She drove me to be a better man. I don’t think words could ever describe how much I love that girl. I’m just absolutely numb. I’ve got nothing. My head’s just not there,” he said.
“I was going to propose to her, I had everything planned. I’m trying to hold it together for the kids.”
He said the previous night the couple had played video games and enjoyed some drinks at home. He found her about 11am unresponsive on the floor of their bathroom.
Long-time friends of Ms Sunderland have been mourning their loss in posts to social media.
“Every time you walked in the room, faces lit up, you brought a smile to everyone’s face, you were one on your own, absolutely hilarious and so ditsy and I am going to miss you,” her friend Claire Entwistle wrote to Facebook.
Another friend described Ms Sunderland as “the most beautiful, caring soul”, and one other said she had a “heart full of gold” with “not one bit of hate” in her.
“We are all so heartbroken” her friend Abby Holt wrote in a post where she shared a link to a crowdfunding page established to support her family with funeral expenses.
