A suspected armed robber, Ayodele Ademola, 54, who raped a pastor’s
daughter during an attack on the cleric’s house in Ibadan recently said
he doesn't know what came over him.
In an interview with Crime &
Security, Ademola, who led three other robbers into the pastor’s house,
said they had concluded their operation when he looked at the girl and
pounced on her.
The affected cleric, according to the
police, reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Sanyo, Ibadan,
on July 22, 2014, 24 hours after the attack.
The police informed that the robbers
made away with one Sony laptop, one Samsung tablet, an Apple iPad, three
assorted mobile phones, one blue Toyota Corolla car with registration number MK 382 AAA, one Mercedes Benz car, with registration number GGE 278 CK, six wristwatches, the sum of N200, 000 and other valuable items.
When arrested, all the suspects: Afolabi Oluwatobi, 24; Morakinyo
Olufemi, 43; Azeez Rafiu, 27, including Ademola, made confessional
statements while they also led detectives in recovering weapons.
